VIDEO INTRODUCTION TO THE ROK COFFEE GRINDER
More Details About the ROK Coffee Grinder
THE PERFECT GRIND
With precision settings the ROK Coffee Grinder is perfect for all types of coffee from French press to Turkish. The first revolution of the adjustment wheel has 12 settings. Turn it again for another 12. And so on. The more you turn the coarser the grind.
MANUALLY OPERATED - WITHOUT THE WORKOUT
Unlike so many manual grinders that are hard to control, each turn of the ROK grinder’s handle is a pleasure; and so effortless thanks to the combination of the long handle, stable base and bevel gears with their self-lubricating properties.
MOVE INTO TOP GEAR
The ROK grinder features long-lasting acetal bevel gears. The gears have been tested through thousands of rotations without any sign of wear. Even better, when they eventually do start to show signs of ageing, they’re really easy to change.
48MM STEEL CONICAL BURRS
Heat build up in the burrs can warm the beans and the grinds, which in turn can degrade the flavour. The ROK grinder runs cool.
At all stages of development there was a focus on limiting static. In our own tests here at Espresso Unplugged we've noticed that static can vary greatly according to environmental influences, such as humidity. Different coffees can also vary significantly. We created a blog post about how to address static should it be an issue: http://blog.espressounplugged.com/2015/10/14/using-the-ross-droplet-technique-for-coffee-grinder-static/
CONSISTENT COFFEE PARTICLES
Crucial to making great grinds is size consistency of the coffee particles. The double bearing drive shaft ensures there’s no wobble and that maintains stability throughout each 360 degree revolution of the burrs.
